My fascination with AI is beginning to falter. There’s been to much scare mongering about the world being destroyed by this new technology, that it has lost its attraction. There’s also the ‘accusations’ spreading across social media when there’s the slightest suspicion that someone dared ask anything from artificial intelligence.
AI is here to stay and there’s nothing we can do about it. Would they have stopped the development of the car, or the plane or the steam engine had people at the time had a problem with it? No. AI is here to stay and we have to learn to live with it.
I use it from time to time. I use it for research purposes. Sometimes I get AI to design thumbnails for my videos. It has really helped in my work designing and building websites. I’m retired now and only build sites for friends. I never really made any money from my business when I had it. This would have been different had AI existed then.
Anyway, I’ve made a little video of my concerns about AI. The backdrop to the video is a walk I recently done near my home in the North Pennines. Take a look if AI and its controversies interest you. Ignore it if they don’t. Although the landscape is awesome. I love where I live.
